I took an empty box that originally had pre-folded cards / envelopes in it and dressed it up to make a little file box for my desk.

One Sheet Mini Album

Here is a fun little Halloween Mini Album that I made using just one sheet of 12 x 12 paper for the base.

Card Box with ATC

Earlier this year I was in a swap over at Craft That Divas on FB for a Card Box with an ATC.  We followed This tutorial to make our boxes.

My swap partner likes to sew, so that is the theme I chose for making her box.  

These would make awesome little gift boxes to give for the holidays because there is a nice sized space inside to add your little gift to and you could always tuck in a Gift Card in place of the ATC or Tags.

Up-Cycled TP Project

I made this just a couple months ago and I really struggled with it because I have never really done anything with a Beach Theme.

I was asked to do a personal swap by someone for something they wanted to try their hand at and that was making a TP roll mini album.   I have made several of these in different styles in the past so was happy to make one and swap.

The base of the album is all made from TP rolls that I ironed flat and then embellished to make the album and the tag inserts.  In keeping with the theme I also made a charm to hang from the album along with a TP Tussie Mussie and also some 'tamped tp' embellished pieces she could use on other projects.   These are all shown at the end of the short video here.

Skinny Mini

This was really fun to make and I originally made it for a challenge on a FB group that I used to be a member of.

I just love the quirkiness of it.  I stamped all the images and words then heat embossed them and colored them with different mediums and then fussy cut out all the elements and pieced them all together to make my quirky girls !  

I really should play with these stamps more because they are really fun to mix and match for so many different looks.

Board Book Christmas Mini

I picked up this little board book for the grand-kids and then realized that we already had one like it so I decided to transform it into a little Christmas mini album.  I liked it so much that I am collecting these little books now to make more of them.

4 x 4 mini album

This is one of the smallest mini albums I have made at only 4 x 4 in size.  I was really surprised with how much space I was able to get in there for photos and journaling.  I love how the frame die cut that I altered came out for the front of it also.

8 x 8 Christmas Mini Album

Here is an Interactive Christmas Mini Album that I was asked to make for a charity event to benefit a Women's Shelter / Rehab Center last fall.  It was mailed out of town for the auction and I never did find out how much it went for but I hope it was a good price and was able to help them out a little.

8 x 8 Mini Album order for a baby girl in browns and pinks

in Spring of 2014 I was asked to make an album for a baby girls first birthday in browns and pinks that would hold a ton of pictures from her first year.

Here is a little slide show video of what I came up with.  There is tons of interaction on this one and it will hold around 100 pictures.  All of my pull out mats and tags are also decorated on front and back and not just plain.

3-D Dress Forms

Last Fall I saw a picture where someone had made a 3-D dress form using the Tim Holtz sewing room die.  I have that die and use it for a lot of things including a half 3-D form of it on various projects, but seeing this one really intrigued me and I decided I needed to learn how to make those.  I must admit that after making the first one I became a little addicted and had to make several others.

Here was my first one done in a Christmas theme.

 

Then I made this one using G-45 Curtain Call Paper to embellish it

and then came another G-45 using Bird Song

 

and I was given the base to a feathered pen that is used for guest books so I had to bling it up some with more trim and add a little air dry cherub that I had molded to the base for this elegant white one.

 

and since these are kind of girly I figured I needed to make one with just some flowers for Spring

 

and, of course, you can't leave out everyone's favorite in a Parisian theme.

 

I am still deciding on themes to use for future ones so stay tuned :-)

Guest Designer for Scrapbookers of Country Craft Creations

In May I was honored to be asked to be a guest designer for Scrapbookers of Country Craft Creations, a FaceBook group.

I was provided with some of the paper, cut-outs and chipboard for Graphic 45's Good Ole Sport line and asked that three Fathers Day cards be made with it.

I love all things G-45 because it is mostly Vintage in it's look and feel which is something I really enjoy creating with.  So, this was a lot of fun for me to design and create the cards for them.

I made all the cards using only the G-45 supplies provided to me other than the solid card stock for the base of the cards.  Everything was fussy cut by me from the paper to layer and arrange for each design.

I made the Tri - Shutter card using a ruler and my Xacto knife to make the cuts for the interactive card.  Then fussy cut out all the elements from the Baseball sheet of paper and arranged them decorate the card.

then I fussy cut out a lot of images from the Football sheet of paper and used them to layer and make an Easel card that is decorated in a way to have a place in the center for writing your sentiment when it is fully opened.

and finally I made a Gatefold card using some of the fussy cut images from the Golf paper and on the inside added a pocket where you could include a Gift Card and also making a nice space to add your sentiment.

      

Cards

I have been making cards for a great number of years now and I enjoy making them as much as I hope the recipients enjoy getting them from me.  My favorites are the interactive cards that move and do fun things but I also enjoy making the basic cards too.

Here is a sampling of several cards that I have made (and remembered to snap a picture of) over the last five or so years.   I really need to remember to get that photo before mailing off so much of the stuff I create.   I am making it my goal to do better on that !
